When Laney Murphy walks into Muldoon’s Pub in San Francisco, she has no idea that her life is about to change forever. The Muldoon family’s offer of a job and a place to stay seems just too good to be true. And once she meets Sean Muldoon, the suspicious and distrustful son of the pub owners, she knows she was right - he clearly detests her.
Sean is on the fast track as a bodyguard with Woo Security and he isn’t going to allow some grifter to get in his way or to mess with his family. But he soon discovers that Laney is not all sharp tongue and sarcasm, and he finds himself wanting to kiss her more than deck her.
I am not sure where the inspiration for the book came from. We had just moved to the Santa Cruz Mountains and life was all topsy turvy and one afternoon I was driving my son home from school and the story formed in my head. Next thing I know the story blossoms more and more and won't let me eve sleep, so I wrote it down and kept on writing. Once I came up for air and laundry, I had felt like I had just driven the narrow California coast in a convertible. I felt breathless and excited and knew right then, I wanted to be a published writer.
When I am not writing, I love to garden and to photograph flowers and the wild life that seems to love our yard. A family of foxes moved next door in this summer and they are fun to watch and photograph.
I have been married to a very patient man for 17 years this June and we have a wonderful 15 year old son who is a constant source of amusement and gray hair! We have lived among the redwoods for over ten years and love it here.
Prior to becoming a full-time writer, I had my own on-line Celtic Jewelry and gift store. I also sold at Renaissance and Celtic Faires as well as role-playing conventions. I loved my business, the traveling and the ability to work at home meant time with my son when he was little.
Sexiest man alive? Humm, it's a tie between Jensen Acles of the tv show
Paranormal or Chris Pine.
