NL: Tell us about your book.
Tara: Caution: Filling is Hot is about two people who learn to give love another shot. Unfortunately my widower, Chad Thomas, is ready to embrace love again but his resistant love interest is more interested in embracing her personal space after her bad breakup. It takes a lot of effort to get their goals aligned but it’s a fun and touching journey.
NL: I’ve heard a rumor that you’ve signed a second contract with Crimson for your novel Forest Fires. Can you tell us more about it?
Tara: Forest Fires is set in a small town in a wilderness area. People are tough out of necessity and fairly suspicious of outsiders so when biologist Drake Carver finds himself stranded in the middle of nowhere and rescued by a young woman with attitude, the sparks fly. The only way he can redeem himself regardless of their mutual attraction, is to prove his mettle and save sassy Charley’s skin. There are some very tense scenes in this that got my heart pounding. I love what they learn about themselves and each other in this story and
how they both grow together.
NL: I've read a snippet of Forest Fires, and I'm totally looking forward to it. Who is Ms. Bonnie Bliss? Readers of your blog (including me) have to know.
Tara: Bonnie Bliss is purely a figment of my imagination. Taking my cue from the entertainment industry, I decided to handle my launch as if it were a movie release. Bonnie Bliss is the celebrity gossip maven of romance. I think we’ll be seeing her again. I’ve got three other titles floating around out there at the moment and another nearly ready to go.
NL: Tell us about you. Married? Children? Day job? Love where you live?
Tara: I married my high school sweetheart two months after I graduated. We’ll celebrate our 28thanniversary this August. We raised three incredible sons; Tristan, Spencer, and Alec, and we’re expecting our first grandson this July.
Since I placed my story Forest Fires where I live, jobs are pretty scarce. I just started
waiting tables at the local diner two weeks ago for a little income. You might be interested to know that Charley’s brother Dink would fit right in up here with all the odd nicknames.
NL: Sexiest man alive?
Tara: I’m thinking of the picture I just saw on Facebook less than an hour ago. That guy was
sizzling. I admit it- I was salivating and tearing up at the same time. I still might need to turn the fan on myself except then I’d have to lock down all the loose papers on my desk
first. What a quandary.
